A bottom-fermented Bavarian beer speciality. Special dark malts gives it its spicy aromatic taste and the dark color.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel orangebraunes Bier mit ordentlicher beiger Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Karamell und etwas Röstmalz. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, süß, Karamell, minimal würzig.

0,5 l bottle, re-designed label art. Pours out in a dark red brown in the glass, big light tanned head. Sweet malty on the nose. Starts malty, light sweetness, smooth. Later more toasted malt. A nice easy to drink Dunkles.

(bottle) Clear, slightly reddish brown colour with a slightly beige medium-sized foamy head. Slightly nutty toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel and a touch of herbal and slightly grassy hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Moderately toasted malt character with nutty spots, caramel and a whiff of molasses; rounded bitter-sweet and mildly toasty malty finish with lighter but still present herbal hops. Balanced, not too sweet Dunkel. 22.VIII.14

Poured from 500 ml bottle. Clear brown color with beige head. Leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is bready with a roasted malt character. The taste is vary balanced. There’s a slight sweetness in the front and a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. You taste mostly the roasted malts. The body is thin and has a light carbonation making it very drinkable. Overall this is a decent Dunkel. Very drinkable with a subtle taste and aroma.

The color is dark mahogany ans the head is creamy and lasting. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, dark syrup and nuts. The flavor has a moderate sweetness and notes of burnt sugar, roasted malt, caramel, dark syrup, nuts and the finish has a light roasted bitterness. Lovely!!

500ml bottle. Nice creamy foam, silky CO2, quite malty and sweet for a dunkel with some hop in the background. Body is OK for the alcohol content, not too heavy and not too thin. Caramel, raisin are the top flavors in it. Colour is reddish-brown. Good beer for a high price!

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Was soll man sagen? Ein Dunkles von absoluter Spitzenklasse, hier stimmt einfach alles. Gut trinkbar, süffig, röstig und etwas karamellig-süß... Absolut geniales Teil!!!
