Huvila Arctic Circle Ale (cask)

Cask at The Gallows Bird, Espoo, Finland.
Dark copper colour with small tan head. Sweetish smooth hoppiness with some fruits/berries. Sweet fruitiness with crisp hops in flavour. Could be different as bottled.

(Cask at Gallows Bird Kekri’09) Poured amber and hazy with small white head. Aroma contained malts, sweetness and hops. Body was full with low carbonation. Tasted of malts, juniper, hops, bitterness and hint of sea water. Juniper and bitterness in aftertaste. Juniper flavour was more intense in this version than it was in the kegged version last year .

Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Kekri2009)
Huge spicy fruity aroma - strawberry and plenty of aromatic hops too. Deep copper, small head. Rich bitter body, carbonation low. Barky bitterness, some saccharine. Tangy and a bit drying. Certainly better than the keg version, but hasn’t wowed me as much as I had oped. Covers 7.3% very well. the finish is very junipery, and spicy. Full-flavoured, but clean.
