4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with about a half inch tan head that sticks around a little while. There’s also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is rich and malty, the brew smells like caramel malt, dark bread, herbs, and some dark fruit. The herbal and caramel flavors are strong in this brew. It also tastes like nuts, dark bread, and some dark fruit. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s syrupy and slick with low/moderate carbonation. I think this is a good brew, I liked it! $8.99 a bottle, I think it’s worth trying at that price.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Crowbar.
Sweet, herbal, quite complex, but this is far from a Sathi. Too sweet, they could have made much more out of this.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. High creamy long lasting good looking off-white head. Hazy dark red brown body. Powerful malt coffee hops aroma. Relatively sweet barley malt coffee liquorice flavor with a spicy note. Low carbonation. Long sweet and smooth finish. Alcohol level seems just right. Very pleasant to drink and certainly a nice surprise.

Tap at Churchkey. Beautiful deep reddish pour with a smaller head. Vinous, dark sweet fruit, with a nice little heft to the palate. Good stuff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Brown with off-white head. Aroma is sweet with a light sour cellulose thing to it. Otherwise notes of almonds, marzipan, malt, yeast, leather. Vinous. Taste is a bit watery at first but some alcohol sweetness kicks in. Notes of burnt caramel, plums, toffee, spices. Ends bitter. Interesting stuff that I need to try again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50cl bottle at F-hoone, Tallinn. Pours very dark brown with a reddish hue and a minimal off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel, some berries, probably juniper and some roasty notes. Also hints of chocolate and coffee. Sweet and malty with a light juniper flavour and a quite dry and bitter finish. Alcohol is well integrated. Mild and easy to drink, but quite tasty! (2012-11-18)
