3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Q: Is that beer Finnish? A: No, I still have a little bit left. HAHAHAHA! Oh, the the fun we have. Anyway, this is a beer that tastes and smells a lot like gin, which is understandable here. Lots of woody, piney notes, too, and a good deal lighter than I was expecting. Lots of molasses, as well.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
deep dark ambre brown colour, slightly hazy liquid, pours a thin layer of creamy sleek tanned foam. aromascape is full of fruit/grape aromas and vegebatle-like tones, accompanied by wood and smoke. a malty with rye, hoppy aroma makes the experience pretty wide but still light. the taste is dark sweet with light bitterness and sourness, very balanced and light without losing character. the body is light, juicy, and dry. this work well with the overall character, but does not really deepen the experience or add anything. one of my favourites from huvila.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2013 500 ml. Deep mahogany with a ring of bubbles. Nose of maple syrup, dates, dark cherries; slight toasted grain, herbal and alcohol notes, The taste is deliciously the same, with some additional tones of chocolate, evergreen resin, and oak. Medium-heavy body is just thin enough, has low carbonation, and is full of malt but well-dried by the juniper. Very unique, drinkable and tasty brew.
