3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. It pours an almost clear, copper colored body under a small, light beige head. The aroma has bread and toffe dominating, both quite weak, and there’s also a light spiced touch. Licorice, bread, caramel and some herbal thing in the flavor, a nice herbal and licorice touch finishing it all. Medium to full body, semi-dry on the palate. An unusual and quite pleasant beer. 130508

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep ruby color, small steady beige head, lace. Rye, dark fruits, licorice, cocoa powder, bread and wood in the nose. Lots of caramel, cocoa, raisins, spices, some hops in the finish. Above average body. Some alcohol in the aftertaste. I can’t trace juniper. Quite interesting brew from Huvila.
