A transparent brown color with no head. A somewhat sweet, brown sugar, and maple syrup aroma with noticeable and pleasant juniper twigs. It has a nice earthy aroma and flavor with a light malty palate.

Pours light brown, with a light beige head. Strong aroma, that at first feels malty, but after a while notes of hops, pine and alcohol come in. Lots of herbs and raisins on the tongue, not much hoppiness. A different and certainly interesting beer.

Clear red brown. Small, offwhite head. Aroma has malt, dried fruit, dark caramel and alcohol. Flavour is similar with clear notes of juniper berries and wood. Bitter finish with pleasant alcohol zing.

taster on tap @ Ei8ht Ball / Bellevue KY --- Clear amber brown with a rim head, no lace. Taste is roasted malt with smooth bittering that enters late in the palate. Both sides finish on equal footing, making for a balanced, clean, sessionable brew. Good stuff.

I ended up opting for a snifter due to said ingredients that were in this, let’s see if they actually show up. The appearance was a dark chestnut brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. Somewhat foamy lacing strung it’s way around the glass. The smell had a coca cola aroma over top of some oaky sprucy vanilla. The taste was mainly sweet through the spruce coca cola flavoring and it becomes fairly sticky on my taste buds. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with more of a sipping sort of quality about it. It runs sticky sweet over my tongue. Overall, not a bad beer just seemed different to me. Would I have it again - for the price probably not - $15 for this bottle was a bit too much.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with an airy head. Aroma is roasted malts and grain, with kandi, juniper and anise. Oily body with soft carbonation. Flavour is sourish malts with juniper, anise, burned wood and camphor, as well as woody notes of old tree roots. Disappointing.

Bottle. Muddy brown/reddish pour with fast diminishing tan head. Sweet malty aroma with just a hint of tar. Taste is balanced with some bitterness. Quite high carbonation.
