Bottle 0,5 l. Darkish amber, thick off white or beige head. Nose has lots of herbal hops, full DIPA style nose with maybe some juniper deep down, but could be hops only. Malty background. Flavor is very nice with double IPA style hoppiness and thick malty background, maybe a tad too sweet and sticky. Had I not known this was flavoured with juniper, I wouldn’t have guessed. Fits well with the fresh and big hoppiness. Very nicely balanced and easily drinkable, yet a delicious treat.

Bottle 50cl. poured into a tumbler. Hazy medium to deep amber, very small but fairly long lasting frothy beige head, light lacing; fruity nose, aroma toasted malts, apple, caramel, sugar syrup, spices; taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted, caramel, light fruity; more malty bitterness in the middle part, still with fruity notes, leading to a dry bitter woody finish with earthy, herbal and peppery notes, bit astringent; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; rich and rather complex in aroma and taste, quite good actually.

Katajankin pystyy tuoksusta bongaamaan. Kivasti jouluinen fiilis, mutta ei överiksi vedettynä. Maku heti alkuunsa kermaisen pehmeä mutta samalla varsin täyteläisellä suutuntumalla. Vahvan maltainen, ruisleipämäinen, rusinainen. Jälkimaultaan hieman suolainen sekä aavistuksen yrttisen katkeroitu. Toimiva kokonaisuus.

Hazy, dark amber color with tan head. Aroma has sweet caramel malt, brown sugar but also an astringent note. Taste startssweet with brown sugar and dried fruit notes, gets more bitter in the middle taste with some earthy/woody flavor and finishes even more bitter with a lingering charred wood note. Medium body with medium to low carbonation. Overall it’s an interesting style of beer but not something to really seek out.

Piwo z minimalna piana grubo pecherzykowa nie oblepiajaca szkla. Kolor brazowo miedziany, lekko metny. Zapach toffi, krowki i inne slodkosci.

Halve liter fles. Donkerbruin/rood van kleur. Ruikt mout, likeurig, amandelwijn. Smaakt , smaakt, ja wat proef ik? Bitterzoet, niet veel prik, vaag iets likeurigs, vlakke afdronk.

Bottle. Pours hazy chestnut brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with touches of vanilla and yeast. Sweetish flavour of malt and caramel, with fruity and estery notes and bitter, hoppy touches. Hints of tar and juniper. Bitter and estery aftertaste. A nice one, although the carbonation could be higher.
