3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. Pours a reddish gold with a full, creamy white head. Aroma is of floral hops, some citrus. Taste is - as the label says - a hop overdose. Palate is dry and surprisingly full. All in all, quite one dimensional, but the hops do take care of everything. They provide the needed fullness, aroma and taste. Exactly what it says on the tin.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wow what a nice surprise! A good hoppy beer with delicate smell and taste of fresh citrus, with pineapple to the fore, and citric shells. Nice, dry bitter tail. Not diluted at all. White head, reduced to tiny patches at the surface. Golden body with a slight haze. Perfect tasty, session beer. This 500ml bottle bought at K-Supermarket Kamppi, really proves that it is possible to make a very decent hoppy beer with low alcohol strength (enjoyed at my hotel room in Helsinki 04.02.2011).

500ml bottle from K-Supermarket Kamppi, Helsinki
Pours light yellow with a small head. Nice citrusy and hoppy aroma. Taste has a light body and a massive overload of hops. Palate is long and nicely bitter. Awesome beer for such a low ABV.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2013 500 ml bottle. Rated @ 25.11.2009.
Pours a cloudy orange colour with a beautiful frothy white head. Loads and loads of hops and citrus on the nose. Similar flavour with some caramel malts to balance the taste. It doesn’t compromise the hoppiness too much. Medium bodied with a very dry mouthfeel. Lovely hop overdose. Kudos for the low ABV. 8-4-8-4-16
500 ml bottle. Rated @ 1.8.2011.
Pours a hazy yellow colour with a large, frothy, chunky head which leaves a nice lacing. Aroma of sweet fruits and crispy floral hops. Lovely bitter flavour of crispy hops, pine needles, pale malts and not much fruitiness. Long and bitter finish of hops and some pine needles. Mouthdrying. Straight to the point IPA, one of my favourites from Finland. 9-4-8-4-16
Draught @ Black Door, Helsinki, June 2013. Fresh keg.
Beautiful balance and even more crispy bitterness I remembered. Excellent stuff.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrusy fruits - among them grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and grapefruit as well as other citrus fruits. The body is light. Nice flavor - but please beef up the malt.

In a moment of brilliance forgot to write down the name for this one, but managed to track down what it is (with some help from SaintMatty, whom I thank now!). It should be situated chronologically between the Schlafly ESB and Laitilan Espi IV!
Poured a slightly hazy yellow-golden body with a medium sized white head. Piney and agrumey hop nose, light sweet apple maybe. Bitter hop, piney, completely dominates the taste, allowing just some sweetness possibly to peep through. The lack of maltiness is evident but who cares! The hop profile is quite great, and now, seeing that this is just 3.9% makes this even better in my eyes. Another very good beer from Malmgård, from my experience now, definitely the best Finnish brewery along with Koskipanimo (Plevna)!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden yellow color with decent if unbalanced head; very refreshing aroma of crisp citrus and grapefruits, pine and hops; mouthfeel is thin with only high carbonation holding it up; flavor not quite as refreshing as the nose, great deal of bitterness satisfies your soul for a short period of time, but after about half a bottle it gets a bit boring. Still nice and greatly refreshing for sauna beer for example.
