TBone (4566), Pori, Finland May 18, 2008 Bottled
Pitch black, small tanned head. Cocoa, roasted malts in the nose. Full-bodied. Flavor is sweet. This is almost sweet stout - well it is called "dessert stout" ... Dark malts, warming alcohol in the finish. It is not a world class stout, but another solid brew from excellent Huvila brewery.
lada66 (20), Savonlinna, Finland May 27, 2008 The sweetest ale from Huvila so far. A traditional stout exept the sweetness. The name will tell you everything. Try with a chocolate cake, it works. mjs (391), Finland May 5, 2008 (Draught at St. Urho’s Pub on 2008-02-14) Almost black. Small head. Very sweet nose with some roasted malts. Rather sweet taste with some bitterness. The bitterness increases while the beer gets warmer. Bit too sweet for my taste. Miksu (1154), Jyväskylä, Finland Apr 26, 2008 Bottled at Helsinki Beer Festival 2008. Almost black color with small head. The aroma and flavor is sweet and roasty with chocolate, coffee, leather, licorice, charcoal and some sharp alcohol. Pairs well with dark chocolate offered with the beer. oh6gdx (4951), Vaasa, Finland Apr 15, 2008 Draught@Poirotti. Very dark brown, almost black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel, acidic coffee along with some licorice and red berries. Flavour is very much the same, mainly alcoholic sweetness along with some old coffee and plummyness. A rather sweet imperial stout, that pretty much lacked roasted notes completely.
