COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden Ale is a traditional handcraft ale with plenty of foam. The name comes from the bright golden color, derived from a full malt basis and old-timers’ deduction mashing method. Finnish freshwater fish recommends the Golden Ale from the only brewery restaurant in the Saimaa area as a perfect companion.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2011 Huvila Brewery is working again after one year break. Golden Ale was the first beer they brewed this summer. Golden Ale is very easy ale to drink. It’s not as hoppy as Huvila ales used to be (unfortunately) but a good ale anyway. It’s only available in the brewpub. This summer (2011) Golden Ale has been brewed with different yeast so the taste is also totally different, much better. Definitely the best beer Huvila is brewing at the moment. The taste is very fresh and fruity. A good balance with malt and hops.

Draught@Huvila, Savonlinna. Golden colour, small white head.Aroma is fruity and floral hops along wth some nectary and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is rather similar in a nice balance. Pleasant and refreshing golden ale, which actually beats many of it’s English equivalents.

Tap @ Huvila, Savonlinna. Pours clear golden with a decent white head leaving some lacing. Aroma is bitter, malty, sweet and fruity; very pleasant. Crispy fruity mouthfeel. Flavor is very nice; fruity, sweet, slightly malty and bitter. Finishes sweet bitter.
