Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Very deep ambery brown colour, close to black, with small brown head. Aroma is some wood, mild vanilla, chocolate and quite nice alcohol sweetness coming in as well. Flavour is chocolate, mild roasted notes, vanilla, some alcohol as well as some wooden notes. Rather nice brew, but a bit thin as for the palate.

Black color, tan ehad. Roasted, malty, sweet scent. Sweet, malty, grainy taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
Stabilt!

0.5 l bottle from Alko. Dark brown color. Aromas and flavors of toffee, toasted bread and chocolate with restrained oak and vanilla. Rounded palate with some woodiness in the palate. Oakiness is restrained, which is nice. Tastes quite mellow and rounded, I would like to have more sharpness, a bit more roasted malts and bitterness.

50 cl bottle.
Pours pitch black color with small off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, roasted malts, some subtle bourbon notes and ash-dry chocolate. Flavor of milky chocolate, vanilla, smoky roasted malts and wood. Medium CO2, dry malty palate. A bit thin overall feel, but still quite nice.

500 ml bottle.
Pours a pitch black colour with a small beige head. Aroma is strong with roasted malts, dark chocolate and smoked. Flavour is rich with notes of roasted malts, strong bourbon, wood, smoke, caramel and sweet berries. Very subtle vanilla notes show up after a while. Medium bodied, oily mouthfeel and a lingering, warming, roasty finish. Maybe a bit thin, but nevertheless enjoyable.

Vertical with Huvila X‐Porter
Aroma has oak, soy sauce, salty licorice, vanilla and hints of hay. After some sips vanilla gets stronger and whisky notes occur too. Flavour has Bourbon, vanilla, oaky notes and salty licorice. Quite salty finish with oak and hints of herbs. The whisky is not too strong on this one, but the palate is somewhat too watery.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, from Alko, 20130208) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had roasted malts, vanilla, wood and sweetness. Palate was full bodied and oily with medium carbonation. Flavours were vanilla, roasted malts, sweetness, chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, roasty and bitter. A good oak flavoured porter. Palate could have been fuller.

Bottle, many thanks to rosenbergh. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, hints of coffee. Taste, roasted malt, dark fruit, dark chocolate, hints of whiskey and wood. Good.

500ml bottle from Alko

Pours pitch black with a small white head. Aroma of roasted malts, rye, hints of bourbon, vanilla, wood and dark caramely notes. Taste is roasty, mildly grainy and sweetish with hints of rye, wood, vanilla, oak and bourbon. A bit thin bodied, though. Finish is roasty with some sweetish rye and oaky bourbon notes, hints of grains, vanilla and chocolate. Nice, well balanced and tasty, but a bit light bodied porter.

50cl bottle from Alko. 07/01/2015. Poured black with a thin brown head. Wood, licorice, roasted malt, sweetness and alcohol in aroma. Flavor has roastedness, wood, dark chocolate, vanilla. Burntness in the dry finish. Surprisingly light bodied.nice sipping beer.
