Golden-brown colour. Rich toffeeish, slightly nutty aroma. Hints of chocolate and toffee in the malty palate. Slightly bitter, chewy late, leading to a sweet finish with a hint of nuttiness (almond skins, walnuts).

Draught (Helsinki Beer Festival 2004) Rich brown, small head. Aromatic hoppy aroma, also a bit woody. Heading towards an old ale or strong ale. Very fruity body, I mean really fruity. Nicely malty, which turns into a nutty finish.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2004 Very dark, stout color. Thick, lacy head. Malty and sweet aroma. Sweet, very hoppy flavor with bitter and dry finish. Slightly smoky. Pretty full-bodied, nicely bitter ale. (was 5-5-7-4-14) (Re-rate, Cask conditioned 20th August, 2004) Quite dark, red-amber color with a small, big-bubbled head. Very nice, yeasty and spicy, sweetish aroma. Hoppy and herby, slightly spicy flavor. Medium to full-bodied, oily and syrupy, somewhat thick palate.
