COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Huvila Pale Ale is clear amber coloured beer with an aroma that brings aromatic hops, caramel and grass to mind. The American hops that we have used in its production give the citrusy and hoppy taste as well as a long bitter after taste. Refreshing with an air of sophistication! It is available in selected shops, bars and restaurants all over Finland. It is also possible to visit the Malmgård brewery and buy Huvila Pale Ale on site. Since 2011, Huvila Joutsen is also available in shops in Estonia through Drink Baar.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Hazy dee golden, brief head. Citric yuzu aroma. Dryish with crisp, grainy malt. Hevily hopped but remainingslender and drinkable. Long resiny bitterness.

Bottled. The colour is hazily fuzzy, nectarine-like orange. Head is abundant. thick, white and partially dissolving. Aroma is not very strong: hint of honey and crisp, citric hops. Huvila Pale Ale ’s focus is on good hoppiness and I think it manages quite well. Overall this is slightly watery (not really that surprising considering the ABV), though hoppiness bites quite nicely in the aftertaste being also quite citric. As the yeast sediment from the bottom of the bottle comes into the glass, it gives a slight ashy hint which makes the beer a little less refreshing. Overall a quite nice and tasty beer.

Draught (500 ml) at Kaisla, Helsinki, Finland as PEKKO P.A. Bit hazy golden colour with almost no head. Very hoppy aroma with some fruits. Kind of sweet hoppy flavour with fruity and toffee taste. Very good hoppy Finnish ale.

Maria (9570) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 21, 2009
Thisted tasting. It is hazy, warm golden wit a somewhat loose head. The aroma has a lot of fruity hops, and I most of all find papaya, but also caramel. The flavour has a refreshing bitterness and loads of delicious, fruity hops, papaya, citrus, malt and caramel. In the finish I find a grapefruit dry bitterness and caramel sweetness. It’s a truly nice beer – and only 4,2%.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2010 Cloudy, orange beer with small and white head. Aroma is quite mild, but pleasant, some sweetness, fruitfull, citrus-fruits, lemon and some hops with pine nuancees. Flavour is balanced, like aroma, bitter, pine needles and hint of lemon. Quite easy to drink with nice carbonation. Huvila Pale Ale is nice beer but there could be more even courage, luckily lot of hops are added. Anyway, this beer is worth to try.

courtesy of oh6gdx/i> - pours a hazy red-orange colour under a slightly beige foam and a correct lacing; subtle hoppiness with aroma of quince and apricot; slightly oily, clean and rounded palate, medium-bodied; a fait bitterness introduces a dry fruity and quite long lasting finish

(As Pekko P.A. In Kaisla) Yellow colored with cloudy appearance. Little white head. Rich hopped lemony aroma. Medium bodied, carbonated palate. Flavor is also same with lemon and biting hops, rather one dimensional. Aftertaste is still bitingly hopped. Not too balanced one.

Bottled. A slightly hazy golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw and hay, and a bit of fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit and straw, leading to a bitter finish.
