COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Huvila Pale Ale is clear amber coloured beer with an aroma that brings aromatic hops, caramel and grass to mind. The American hops that we have used in its production give the citrusy and hoppy taste as well as a long bitter after taste. Refreshing with an air of sophistication! It is available in selected shops, bars and restaurants all over Finland. It is also possible to visit the Malmgård brewery and buy Huvila Pale Ale on site. Since 2011, Huvila Joutsen is also available in shops in Estonia through Drink Baar.

Smells like sour apples, surprising, but I like it:) clear light golden colour. Taste is mild grapefruit, light and good bitterness. A really good pale ale. Me like:) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden pale colour with a big white head not so nice. Aroma is lightly malty, citrus and hebal hops, but not so intense due to excesive carbonation and sparkling. Taste is nice. Grain, citrus and herbal hops in a medium/high bitterness. Fresh and tasteful. Light body but not watery. It’s a pitty the excesive carbonation!!!

Good two finger off white head with good resistance and various craters, golden about clear body. Aroma; hops, grass, citrus, grapefruit peel, resiny malts. Taste; hops, grapefruit peel, bitter malts, ash, roast, bark, birch. Normal, fresh, slightly dry. Ends with hops in a bitter bark section. An APA in a forest. UPDATED: AUG 6, 2014 Hazy pale orange beer with dense white head. Aroma has strawberry jam, resin and grapefruity hops. Flavor is dry grapefruity bitter, malty sweet and vegetably. Strong carbonation and thin palate. Finish has strong grapefruity bitterness and again vegetables. Decent aroma but the vegetables on the flavor ruin this.

Mild, light as a lager with disturbing sweet moments when tasting. Excellent bitter palate.

Tap at Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is citrus, grassy hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a super grassy nettle hop pepper spice palate and a lingering grassy bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I think I found Finland’s Kernel!

0,5L bottle. Pours amber with white head. The head stays. Aroma is fruits, apples, grapefruit, and malt. Flavor follows the nose. Finish is resin and dry bitter. Overall: more bitter than regular pale ales, but not much else going on with this brew.

Clear, copper. White head. Quite fruity and hoppy aroma for a regular pale ale. Watery body but not too watery. Quite strong grassy bitterness. This is actually more of a bitter than a pale ale. Quite dry, not too sweet. This is worth trying and a good beer for those who don’t like overpowering bitterness but still want that hoppy bite in a beer. I’m pleasantly surprised.

Clean golden color, small white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, toffee, grass, sweet floral notes. Taste has similar notes, sweet with subtle dryness and mildly bitter hoppy finish and aftertaste. Thin body and soft carbonation. Nice session ale, highly drinkable.
