COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Huvila Pale Ale is clear amber coloured beer with an aroma that brings aromatic hops, caramel and grass to mind. The American hops that we have used in its production give the citrusy and hoppy taste as well as a long bitter after taste. Refreshing with an air of sophistication! It is available in selected shops, bars and restaurants all over Finland. It is also possible to visit the Malmgård brewery and buy Huvila Pale Ale on site. Since 2011, Huvila Joutsen is also available in shops in Estonia through Drink Baar.

Bottled. The colour is hazily fuzzy, nectarine-like orange. Head is abundant. thick, white and partially dissolving. Aroma is not very strong: hint of honey and crisp, citric hops. Huvila Pale Ale ’s focus is on good hoppiness and I think it manages quite well. Overall this is slightly watery (not really that surprising considering the ABV), though hoppiness bites quite nicely in the aftertaste being also quite citric. As the yeast sediment from the bottom of the bottle comes into the glass, it gives a slight ashy hint which makes the beer a little less refreshing. Overall a quite nice and tasty beer.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, faint caramel, some grassy - citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and dryish flavor, lots of citrus - some piney hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty and dry, lots of piney - citrus hoppyness. Really nice dry and well hopped pale ale.

Bottle. Strong lemon aroma, which continues to be the dominant taste also. Not my favourite smell though, a feel of kitchen cleaner in it... Fortunately the soft fruity taste saves the game. Enough hops to taste it nice and long afterwards. Overall very nice beer.

Hazy golden, white head with nice retention. The nose is hoppy with citric and fruity tones. The taste starts with more hops, lemon and passionfruit notes, end piney and bitter. The palate is smooth, even hints at creamyness. Very drinkable and refreshing.
