Sep 13, 2007 Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aromas are earthy and malty with some oaty notes. Liquorice with herbal and citrus aspects. Flavours are earthy light coffee with chocolate malts. Some caramel and mollasses. Herbal and rooty. Good.

Sep 10, 2007 Draught @ Bruxellensis. Roast flavor with coffee. Rather thin. Somewhat indifferent aroma. Good, tasty beer, but nothing outstanding.

Sep 10, 2007 Draught Near black beer, lots of brownish head & lace. Ink, dark fallen leaves, lots of chocolate, ending slightly sweet-ish. Dry-wry, earthy, leafy taste, (I’m tempted to say: exactly what is missing in an English mild). Complex, layered. Light to medium bodied; long, but discreet bitterish-sweetish aftertaste. Very good porter indeed.

Aug 22, 2007 Dark brown, almost no head. Nice aroma: sweet, vanilla, roated malts. Taste is of licorice, roasted coffee and vanilla. Bitter.
