UPDATED: MAY 27, 2008 This one works. Everything that a good porter is supposed to be. A strong roasted malt taste with chocolate, coffee and cocoa in a good balance. Porter is available on tap in Huvila.

Transparently black with off white head. Citrusy hoppy nose. Very chocolatey with loads of coffee. Dry with clean malt profile and a bitter licorice finish. A truly excellent classic porter!

Voted silver beer of the festival. Very interresting clean aroma. Barrel characteristics and a touch of rum chocolate and orange chocolate in taste. A complex and absolutely great beer. My personal favourite Finnish beer of the festival.

courtesy of oh6gdx - pours a very dark brown colour with a ruby hue; solid creamy beige head; gently roasted nose, aroma of pralines with some vanilla and licorice in the background; moderate carbonation and a good malt body; oily and solidly bitter; long coffeish, chocolaty finish with some dried fruity notes and redidual sugars

Bottled - Bruxellensis - Courtesy of Dan Shelton. A very dark coloured beer with some tan bubbles for a head. The aroma is roasty, smoky and dry. The taste is dry and a bit fishy. Tasty and roasty. Very nice and easy to drink.

Ethereal (2417) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 27, 2008
Bottle courtesy of reakt. Nearly black with a very small line of tan foam. Very still too. Earthy malt aroma with a subtle vanilla hint. Has a creamy, buttery taste when it hits the lips then dark chocolate malt. Extremely smooth but a bit sweet and could do with a bit more balancing bitterness. Still, a very good porter.

Pitch black, dying brown head. Malts, coffee, liquorice and some fruity notes. Sweet flavour, smooth, somewhat watery. Some vanilla notes shine through in finish. True to the porter style.

Thanks to Bu11zeye for the beer. Very nice beer...pours a very dark brown with tan head. Aroma of nice balanced roasted malts with a full, sweet flavor with a nice slight bitterness for balance....medium mouth feel.....

Red-tinged brown. Through the brewery says the sun will make it appear a traffic-light red. Smokey, coffeeish and very nutty aroma. Slightly dusty as well. soft and sweet body with cream, slight caramel, coffee notes. Smooth, sweet finish. Very clean, subtle.
