COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Huvila X-Porter has a deep black appearance with a brown head. Creamy, slightly nutty, smooth chocolate malt nose. The taste is similar to its nose but also allows the taste of toffee to come through. The after taste then turns more chocolate with toffee. This is a rarity as not many top-fermented Baltic Porters are made any more. Our “hero” at the San Diego Int’l Beer Festival 2010! It is available on tap and in bottles in bars and restaurants across Finland. Since 2011, Huvila X-Porter is also available in shops in Estonia through Drink Baar. Last, but not least, Huvila X-Porter is also imported into the US through Shelton Brothers.

Bathory (360) - Bryne, - JAN 29, 2013
Pours a dark brown colour with a creamy nutbrown head. Aroma of roasted malts, some coffee and leaves. Flavour is mainly dominated of the roasted malts, with some chocolate and coffee notes and some dough in the end. Slick mouthfeel, quite low carbonation for a baltic porter and a medium body. Overall a good beer, maybe a bit boring.

Palme (2250) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 8, 2013
0.5l bottle. This is a clear deep dark one with a small brown bubbly top that quickly fades to the sides of the glass. Nice roasted aroma with some chocolate, coffee and a nice sweetness. Not to complicated just pleasant and nice. It’s right below average on the carbonation and the mouthfeel is light oily. Quite a good amount of flavors here. Deep roasted - almost on the verge of light burned, good bitter dark chocolate, cold strong coffee and those sweet caramel things you put in the coffee at gas stations. It’s leaving a really dark roasted chocolaty flavor in my mouth for a long time this. Impressingly flavorful and I think this has to be one of the best beers I’ve had from our neighbours up in the east. I used to know a Finish word once, but when I talked to a Finn, that actually turned out to be totally wrong. 05.02.2013

Pours black with a beige head that disappears quickly. Aroma is very roasted, notes of coffee and chocolate and also a little smoke. Taste is dryish and nicely roasted; very smooth mouthfeel. Flavours of coffee and chocolate appear again. Medium to full bodied, sticky palate. Enjoyable, rich and full Baltic Porter.
