2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Douberd (632) - NETHERLANDS - APR 22, 2013
250 ml bottle at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 5.7%. 1.04€
Less than a finger of white head, with low retention too and very light lacing on the glass. The beer has a clear body, no activity in it, whereas the colour is deep copper orange.
Caramel malts on the aroma, along with some faint peach and yeast notes.
Taste follows the aroma, caramel mostly and a bit of iron flavour. Moderate bitter on the aftertaste, but all in all quite indifferent taste.
Medium thin on the body, quite carbonated.
Not a bad beer, but it becomes boring pretty fast, and we are talking about a 250 ml bottle.

Amber colored pour with an off-white head. Strangely acetic and sour. A lot of metal, some apple skin, and a bit of lemon peel. There’s some apple juice and a light malt sweetness. The flavor is somewhat sweet with bread malt notes and a bit of apple. It’s very lemon forward and sour. Some definite vinegar notes on the palate, too. Not a fan of this one.
