(Bottled) Clear golden with a small, bubbly and lacy head. Grainy, toffee-caramely nose with sweet peachy notes. Flavor is pear-fruity, strongly grainy and lightly toffee-malty, with a strong house flavor. Light to medium body, fizzy CO2. A very typical Huyghe brew, and not in a good way. Dull, spritzy and grainy. 3224

Clear medium to dark orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, flowers, moderate yeasty, sweet fruity - flowery yeast, honey. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120317]

Ulfborg Scooper Smagning 2012. Golden with a small white head. Aroma has some floral and fruity esters, a hint of licorice and a touch of apple peel. Sweet fruity flavour with yeasty notes and plenty carbonation

Bottle @ Mid March Tasting, Ulfborg 2012. Pours cloudy dark golden with a massive amount of chunks. Sweet candy like nose. Passionfruit and yeast. Sweet prickly alcohol. Medium bodied.

Small bottle, brought home from Beer Temple, Brussels. Huge lasting lacing blond head. Shady, pale gold colored body. Smell of creamed caramel and grainy, light sweet malts. A light ’yellow’ fruitiness, too. Taste is sweet-accented caramelly malts, with some grassy hops lurking under, and a note of freshly baked bread. Medium body strenght. A certain harshness on the palate. Finishes on the sweet side. Overall, a pretty fair Belgian.

Bottle from Beer Temple. Golden orange body with huge head. Inviting nose fruits and honey. Very smooth and creamy blonde ale with taste of fruits, malts, caramel and honey notes. Spicy in the finish. Yeast as well. Enjoyable.
