3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 RichardGretton (4016) - Leicestershire, - JUN 12, 2003Not a dark mild but an amber mild with a malty yet weak aroma. The flavour does resemble a typical mild as it is quite hopped. A poor mild as I prefer the more standard efforts.

Cask. Aroma is mellow malt, soft fruity notes, opaque ruby, small toffee head and plenty of lace. Flavour is toasty malt, with a goodly amount of hops backing it up. Light bodied, very well balanced, smooth as the day is long, beautiful mouthfeel, lovely bitterness. Terrific session!

Hand pulled at the Grey Horse Inn, Manchester. This is one of the [probably] traditional Milds, which are lighter brown in colour, with a quite gentle malty flavour. Drinkable. Reasonable. The Grey Horse Inn, incidentally, is Manchester’s second smallest pub, fact-fans.

This is again on at my local, its not a dark mild but a standard mild. Which most people confuse.
Its got a very mellow flavour, tasting of toffee . It has a very slight sweet maltiness to it too, but very little hops.
Above all a good mild which is sublimely drinkable, and good if you don’t like high alcoholic ales!

This this had been on for a while also, and its not really what id call a mild either. Minimal in every aspect, raw malts and grassy hops, bitterness evident.
