Golden with a small head. It has a true bitter character with a medium to high bitterness and a malty aroma.

Medium brown pour with a thin white head. Weak body, flavour of hop bitterness. Inoffensive old school bitter.

Half, hand pulled, excellent cask quality at the Grey Horse. Clear copper body colour. Spotty lacing to the glassware. Leafy hops to the nose. Bitter resin-like hops to the taste buds added by a mild malty sweetness. Plain bitter finish. A good, standard Brit bitter ale (Manchester, 07.07.2012).

Cask (Eagle, Cambridge)
Almondy retronasals. Some sickly sweet fruit. Messy. A touch minerally. Some woody bitter bite for the finish, but this is basically a dull and watery bitter of the worst kind, as it was this dull without even being off in any way.

Lightly hopped with some malt to balance, mainly let down by a disappointingly thin palate. Unremarkable session beer.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Clear copper colour, off-white head. Nose is light malted, candy, fruits. Flavour is malty, lemonade, bit skunked and watery. Not good.

Aroma is apples, malt and manna, light copper, pours a small custard head. Flavour is mild red plum, other notes of mixed fruit, lovely aftertaste of candied malt. Light bodied, perfectly balanced, incredible mouthfeel. Delightfully refreshing!
