kramer (2034), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 27, 2008 22 oz bottle, via BA ppoitras. Pours a clear dark gold body with a nice foamy one finger off white head that settled to a thin film. The nose is light bready and toasted malt with a very minimal floral hop nose. Light cooked veggies as it warmed up a bit. The flavor is of crusty bready malt, some light caramel, and a lightly bitter hoppiness. A little background vegetal note throughout, but becomes more pronounced as it warms further. Kind of dull tasting really. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a watery texture and fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, not a particularly inspiring APA, it needs to have the hops kicked up a bit and have that vegetal streak cleaned up. jcwattsrugger (4272), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 26, 2007 on tap-pours a disappearing white head and copper color. Aroma is mild hops, some medium malt. Taste is somewhat bitter/spicy hops, some medium malt-caramel. OK carbonation. 3.7 There was an issue with some of the bottled beer, but won’t adjust the rating at this point.
