A Belgian-style tripel made with pomegranate molasses. Lighter in color, but not in ABV than the Dubbel, this one has a small surprise.

The pour is a hazy gold orange color with an off-white head. Definitely a pomegranate character to the beer. Quite a bit of sugar along with some esters: mild banana and apple, for the most part. Just a very sweet smell. The banana and pomegranate flavors come through very aggressively at the outset, but the more I drink, the more the apple comes out. Almost cloyingly sweet with all the sugar flavor. Very little in the way of bread. Maybe a mild tartness on the finish.
