Black pour with a small khaki head. Strong roasted malt aroma, a light cocoa powder note, and a bit of coffee. Somewhat acidic, mild sweetness, and a bit metallic. Earthy hop character to the flavor, lightly bitter, and rather metallic. Light chocolate, plenty of roast, some coffee, and cocoa powder. The flavor is only mildly sweet as well.

Tap at I & I thanks to womencantsail. Beige head. Clear, dark ruby pour. Weak foam. Nose is muted, some cocoa, sweet milk chocolate. Taste is fairly weak and doesn’t hint at the style well. Palate is very thin, dusty, chalky. Ashiness takes over with very little substance. The coconut porter was much better, but had no coconut flavor.
