Bügelverschlußflasche (bought at the brasserie): Light amber coloured, smaller off-white loose head, sticking to the glass; moderate caramelly and toasted-malty nose with a dry malty touch and a metallic tinge; medium bodied, moderate to stronger bitter-sweet flavour; solid bitter-sweet finish with a lingering hoppiness in the aftertaste. O.K., a Bock of decent quality.........

Sep 26, 2008 bottle. Clear deep golden yellow, large and creamy head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, very malty with intensive flavours of cocoa powder, hints of honey, slightly spicy.

Sep 3, 2008 The bottle looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass not very zippy, copper-coloured. Starts mild, only modest malty, neither sweet nor alcoholic. Tastes like is has beer aged. Modest alcoholic finish. Strange bock, but not bad!

Feb 26, 2008 Thanks to the Bochumer beer fellowship for this bottle! Orange amber, big golden lacing foam. Nut, caramel and honey dough aroma. Surprisingly strong nut and nougat start, going over into raisin, plumwine, spice, light alcohol burn, finishing on a fruity note - dates retronasal. Medium chewyness, slick mouthfeel. Good obe!

Dec 26, 2007 (swing top bottle) Clear, bright amber to copper colour with a massive, off-white foamy head. Sweet toast-malty, slightly nutty and lemon-fruity aroma with light notes of caramel and spicy, nettle-like hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a matured and soft carbonation. Toast-malty, herbal taste with caramel ; toasty, bitter-sweet finish with burnt and hoppy bitter notes. Well-crafted brew.
