Initially this seems like a mediocre DIPA but then it sneaks up on you and rewards with a very pleasant taste and good mouth feel. Not the prettiest beer, kind of cloudy but that’s ok with me. Good on ya tri cities.

Crisp copper coloured body with a rich, dense, four centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright piney and very resinous hops, some caramel and yeast, hints of toffee and even some oak scents. Medium to Full-bodied; Dense chewy piney and resinous mouthful with a good malt balance throughout with some rye and specialty grains noticeable. Aftertaste shows a very nice balance of malt and hops, some light herbal and grassy notes and a dry oaky flavour at the end, all of course with a large hop bitterness. Overall, a nicely balanced Imperial IPA that isn’t overly hoppy or showing too much alcohol - this is a smoothish drink which is nice to enjoy the whole bottle! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 11-November-2013 for US$5.49 sampled at home in Washington on 02-February-2014 in celebration of Seattle (I wasn’t cheering for them, but decided to have a beer from Washington state) winning the Superb Owl.

Bottle with thanks to glkaiser! Pours hazy amber with a medium off-white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is pretty standard fare - pine and caramel. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter with a strong bitter finish. Resinous and in your face harsh. Medium body.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Yellow with a white head. Aroma is pine, orange, biscuits and some sugary character. Flavor is heavy on the pine and oranges. The biscuit malt keeps the bitterness low. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pink grapefruit, honey and resin are the aromas. slightest haze to a tawny blonde, modest white head. first taste mixed like canned fruit salad when on come the hops, piney, plus alcohol, so more overwhelmed than settled.

I can’t believe people rate this a 70! Amazing almost floral hop aroma 3/4 inch head. Pours an almost orange clear color. Loads of delicious cascade citrussy hop goodness flavor. Not too sweet our malty, perfect for any hop head. Definitely try this ipa!
