Ice Harbor IPA

On tap at the brewery. Pours a faint and darker golden yellow. Aroma is fairly malty...tiny bits of bitterness exist in the pine realm. A tiny bit watery, but holds true to the bitter nature and blast you with a bunch of Amarillo hops through the body and well into the finish. A tiny bit of honey is noted as my palate is overtaken by bitter bitter bitter, great lingering finish. Not the best IPA, but they know where they’re going.

Poured a nice ruby-copper body with a medium whitish head. Lots of lacing. Creamy, bitter nose. Finished clean, but a little thin.

12oz Bottle – Brewery – Kennewick, WA
Aroma – A nice hops aroma with a good use of malts.
Appearance – Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor – A nice use of hops with a good malt build.
Palate – A decent IPA Mouthfeel, had some great qualities this was not bad. .
Overall – This was pretty good beer with the good use of hops that made this a very light IPA and not over the top 100 IBU’s it was about 30 at best.

12 OZ Bottle. Smooth and solid IPA - very heavy bodied with a silky malt backbone that strikes a perfect balance between sweet, dry biscuity malt and a tart grapefruit finish. Great use of hops, very mild bitterness with a nice hop profile. Cannot believe the 7.5% abv; seems nowhere near that. very enjoyable IPA, should be easily drinkable for non-hop heads. Oh- and not available in draft only, apparently as I received two of these 12oz’rs in an Ice Harbor gift basket (pail actually, with a built-in bottle opener; very cool......although the bottles are twist-top, im with you in spirit!)

GABF 2007: Poured a hazy gold color with an off-white head. Nice full aroma of grapefruit juice and citrus rind. The flavor is full of citrus and grapefruit. Some malt. medium body.
