Pours a cloudy/hazy amber color with off-white head. Citrus, pine, caramel malt, and some wheat on the nose; follow onto the palate. This actually has quite a bit going on for the style. Finish lingers a while.

22 oz bomber bought from "Roths Sunnyslope Market" $3.99 Says 7.0% alc. Cloudy dark amber, very turbid large thick and creamy eggshell white head. Nice. Very nice resiny and floral hop aromas..malts seem strong in the nose also. Taste is the same well hopped but really nice treacle flavoured malts..liked it. Great mouth feel thick and medium carbonated..love this aspect. Surprised with this one..very nice stuff.

5000 (6300) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - DEC 18, 2013
Bottle:   Dark brown sugar in color, odd for an IPA, small to moderate frothy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Moderate hop nose, somewhat assertive tea like leaves, a little ashtray much like a Best Bitter would have.   Pith and peel citrusy start, soft tea leaves, a little tobacco, with that bit of Best Bitter ashiness to follow.   Not real bright, but clean despite the bit of ash.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft citrus bits linger.   Decent enough for a Winter IPA.

Nose of floral and piney hops initially, caramel, toasted nuts, and roast. Definitely a winter warmer style as previously mentioned. Murky brown pour, fizzy head that has some staying power. Flavors of roasted and toasted nuts, caramel, dough, earthy bitterness, hints of citrus and pine. Lingering hop presence balances out with doughy medium sweet finish. Spicy lingering hop flavors. Not bad.

22 oz. bottle, my bottle reads 7.0%- Pours a murky brownish red with an off white to tan one finger head. Aroma is malt, mild hops, spicy. The taste is like a winter warmer with an extra hop kick, another beer that I think is misclassified. Beers that blend genres, how do you pinpoint what they are, this is definitely not an IPA, it reminds me of Grand Teton Bitch Creek ESB, only with more hops, and that beer is Extra Special Brown. There is a definite Brown Ale taste to it, but again with more hops, whatever. Body is moderately light, carbonation is medium to almost low. Overall decent enough.
