First off it’s an Icehouse, what can you expect. It tastes better than most other icehouse brands which tastes like water. It does the job and the taste is great when your used to drinking budweisers. I recommend this beer, it’s cheap and it worth the 5 bucks for the 6 pack

I like the design of the can. It would taste better in a bottle. The price for now is great! The taste was typical of a malt liquor. I will buy it again due to the economy.

For a strong malt inexpensive beer, one of my favorite! Just one of these (24 oz. beer the equivalent to almost 4 lager beers because its 8% alcohol) for around $1.50! I think its a good value and one is all I need! Plus, its only around 240 calories in 24 oz.!
Decent tasting, low calorie, low cost beer!

Purchased at "New York Deli", an Indian Mom-n-Pop store in the North Fairmount ghetto of Cincinnati - Hey, it’s actually acceptable "wino fuel"with a slightly sweet taste and no nasty adjuncts and aftertaste. It is quite acceptable for being what it is.

Nice! Yellow pour, medium white head. Corny cereal with some grass and just a touch of grapes. Flavor is a bit muted on this one, drier than most malt liquors. Clean finish, not much hint of the booze. Not bad.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Icehouse Edge has a thick, white head and a clear, somewhat bubbly, golden appearance. There isn’t much lacing here. The aroma is of sweet, musty, wet grain, and the taste is of alcohol, corn, dank and heavy grain, a bit of hops, sugar, and other undefinable substances. Mouthfeel is medium, and Icehouse Edge finishes mostly dry, heavy, and harsh. This is a serious beer for hopeless alcoholics. Try some, if you dare. RJT

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is a very fine and high quality malt liquor and those who deride it clearly know nothing of the style. It is perfectly clear and orange golden in the glass--though many prefer this style straight from the can or bottle--and has a short lived head of fine white bubbles. It smells faintly of grain--I would guess corn--w/o any heavy alcohol or other harsh flavors. This drinks rather light for a high gravity malt and only a touch of burn on the back of the tongue indicates its elevated strength. Brisk carbonation helps to cut some slight sweetness which is about the only flavor this beer offers. Overall, I’d call it a stretch to say this is a good beer but if we are being honest w/ ourselves here--which beer nerds seldom are in this regard--this has way fewer off-notes w/ way less to hide behind than your standard imperial stout and thus could objectively be considered to be a better beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Massive can from a Idaho gas station. Drank out of the can. A rich corn aroma with light sweet skunk. The flavor is big sugary corn, light heat, light dirtiness. Really far too sweet, borderline a piece of candy. Warmth and dirtiness in the finish. Decent.

Pours gold with a nice white, bubbly head at first that disappears. Very harsh, metallic aroma with sweet bits of corn. Taste is sweet sugar, corn, grain, banana, clove, almost chewy. Nice light bitterness. Very drinkable.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
From the 24 oz. can stamped DEC3112-F07020418. The pour is yellow with a foamy, white head and plenty of carbonation. Before I even pour it into the glass I get a powerful aroma of corn, grain, a bit of meaty fruit even, and clean crisp hops. The body is thin but not watery. The taste begins grainy and sharp with a slight alcohol bite kicking in toward the end, which is not surprising given its style. That bite lingers for a moment. As a malt liquor it is about average.
