0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 uvajed (165) - Ravenna, Ohio, USA - SEP 10, 2012One of the foulest substances ever to find its way inside my mouth, and that is saying a lot. Corny metallic alcohol - this is REALLY bad. Makes even Natty Daddy or Hurricane taste okay. Even for being cheap and 8%, and if you just absolutely need to get drunk, you can do a lot better. Heere are two things I have rarely ever said but that apply: spend the extra 75 cents, and get a Four Loko, or something. This tastes like an already horrible wino beer that somebody poured a half a shot of Czarina vodka into. I like cheap beer, and I’ll try any crappy beer once, but this is a one-time deal only. Still trying to finish the can (how can anybody rate the appearance of this? You drink it out’a da can!), and it may be one of the few beers ever I’ve had to pour out.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Westmeister (923) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 12, 2013
24 oz can. Pours a clear medium pale yellow with white creamy head that hangs around. Smell is sweet corny for sure. Less corny than some, more corny than others. I also get a distinct alcohol burn on the nose. Taste is medium to heavy corny sweetness with a bit of apple. Decently smooth. And a bit better than the original icehouse that I remember. Although haven’t had it in 5 plus years.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jbronco (1) - Florida, USA - MAY 6, 2013 does not count
For a strong malt inexpensive beer, one of my favorite! Just one of these (24 oz. beer the equivalent to almost 4 lager beers because its 8% alcohol) for around $1.50! I think its a good value and one is all I need! Plus, its only around 240 calories in 24 oz.!
Decent tasting, low calorie, low cost beer!
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Rando7 (607) - Iowa, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Bottle pours clear dark yellow with large frothy white head. Aroma sweet corn. Taste cloyingly sweet syrupy corn. Palate fairly thick. Finish corny yuckiness. Alcohol evident.

Golden yellow color with a medium white head. The alcohol content is hidden pretty well. Not too bad. I will re-rate this when I haven’t had 3 or 4 beers before this one.

When Kevin Costner purified his urine in Waterworld he created Icehouse Edge.

Pours a pretty pale color with a big fluffy white head that leaves some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is pretty classic, like what I remember beer smelling like when I was a kid... so probably it just smells like PBR or Busch back in 89’. Got a little corn but a lot of metallic aroma with a little alcohol.
The flavor is like super corny, like almost a corn tortilla kind of flavor. Some of that fruity (grapey) alcohol flavor is there which grows more prominent with each sip. The hop bitterness is pleasant for the style.
If I remember Ice House very well at all, this tastes nothing like it.
