SSSteve (2049), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 3, 2005 gets bitter and the alcohol is noticeable as it warms. decent when its ice cold but i’d rather drink something else thats cheap. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA Oct 1, 2005 Served up in the lobby of the Embassy Suites in Jacksonville, FL during the free happy hour.
Pours a pale gold but looks downright rich in color next to the Miller Lite my boss had poured for himself. A 1/4 inch snow white head, no lace and soon, no head. Smells lightly grassy and of very light sweet pale malt.
Crisp in the mouth. Some corny flavors, some light grassiness. Just a touch of hops and then it finishes clean, no discernable aftertaste. Very crisp and light on the tongue. No problem at all to drink one down, nothing offensive about it at all.
Pretty good for "free beer" I guess. Stuck in the macro hell that is most of Jacksonville, you could do much worse than this one. notwoohoo (109), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 29, 2005 Ahh college :) Yet another swill pour enjoyed in various college dive bar establishments. I don’t know how they can call this hoppy, wow. Another watered-down garbage american lager. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Sep 26, 2005 12oz bottle consumed at Fat Tuesday’s in Myrtle Beach, SC. Pours golden with a short white head. Aroma of light grains and corn and a bit of skunk. Flavor is corn and a funky vegetable/metal aftertaste. Palate is light and airy. This one isn’t very good at all. Nekronos (2261), Xalapa, Mexico Sep 12, 2005 Updated: Feb 7, 2006I think I drank this before, but I am not so sure. It has a bitter flavor at the back, and nothing different form any lager. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Sep 12, 2005 Clear pale yellow with a fully receding white head. Skunky aroma with notes of DMS and cooked vegetables. Watery and adjunct ridden. Doesn’t taste totally disgusting, just moderately unpleasant. shp555 (1680), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2005 Used to be one of my favorates before I knew what beer was. Tell you one thing though beats the hell out of bud. Sanuk (10), USA Aug 27, 2005 Icehouse is my favorite mass produced American beer. At 5.5% ABV it has a nice kick to it and goes down easily on a hot day. I end up drinking this a lot because it’s the best beer sold at the local Circle K.
