COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Icehouse, the first domestically brewed ice beer, allows ice to form during the brewing process creating a bold, hoppy beer with no watered-down taste.

12 ounce can, "smooth, never watered-down taste"...sounds promising? wan, sallow faintest yellow appearance, head starts big, disappears in a trice. vacant aroma, slightly sweet and corny, turning sour... Taste is empty, as well, and not entirely pleasant, either. There’s a plastic feel in the texture, body is light as can be, finish is short and none too sweet. Harsh, acrid, grainy-ness dominates what accounts for flavor, and this is revealed to be a thinly disguised alcohol-delivery system, as if we didn’t know that already. As much as I try to complete every sample of every beer I review, this one’s gonna have to go down the drain. Not enjoyable, barely tolerable.

In the glass, this one produced a pillowy longlasting (chemically enhanced?) head with a soapy odor. The taste was initially metallic with corn taste and aroma, followed by a slight notice of hops, and a nothing finish. No malt noticable at all. The brew was stale dark urine colored, but clear. If they really use the icebrewing process here; it’s a waste.

I am not always in the mood for bitter, hoppy, complex things. It is the middle of summer in Phlily and this tastes very good right now. The taste is crisp. Very refreshing.

I drank this straight from the can last night. A friend had just opened one and I told him to let me have a drink. He at first said, "No you’ll just talk shit." I replied that I would not say a word. So I don’t know what the appearance was like, I’ll just give it a 2 because I’m sure it was ugly. It was very cold when I drank it, so keep that in mind. I was quite surprised at how inoffensive it was. There was no aroma at all. And almost no flavor. It really almost felt as if I was drinking a can of water. There was a little something there, but it really doesn’t matter. This is devoid of anything worthwhile.

12 oz can. 12 oz bottle (no difference in flavour). Rancid roasted corn note with hints of phenol and alcohol. Very light, transparent straw-colored pour. Non-lasting, foamy head. Somewhat high carbonation. Malted corn topnote with vanilla gracenotes. Non-lingering, metallic, medicinal finish. Watery. High ABV is the only favourable characteristic – a power drinker’s beer. OK on a hot Arizona Day. Less than average macro.

Absolutely horrible. A nasty sweet taste that gets stronger as they go down. HOnestly havent drank this since the first time I tried it and for good reason. Drain Pour.

I feel gross. I think someone poured the beer out and replaced it with a wino’s urine.

This beer definately delivers in more than one way. 1st It really doesn’t taste all that bad especially if you like Budweiser. 2nd It’s priced affordably.3rd if you like to feel something when you drink, this beer packs 5.5% alc. My recommendation is to drink this beer from a bottle instead of a can.
