Pale yellow. Large head. Aroma is very beery. Taste is Beery and harsh but not offensive. Corn and moldy malt are predominant. Plus for no watery taste.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Appearance: pours a thick, sudsy 2" white head that recedes quickly with mild lacing. Light golden appearance with plenty of streaming carbonation.
Aroma: lightly toasted barley malt, corn, and a bit of hops.
Mouthfeel: light and watery, slightly papery. Finish is dry with some lingering alcohol.
Flavor: sweet barley malt, corn sweetness, there is a lingering hop bitterness in the middle and finish.
Overall: this was drinkable, but not exceptional in any way. A decent brew for the price.

Smells and tastes like piss. Really bitter with a horrific aftertaste. You have to be an alcoholic to like this one. Had at home

One way ticket to blackout ville. The beer is pretty bad. Booze is evident in the nose and taste. Avoid this like the plague.

From the can, corny gross aroma. Taste is surprisingly pretty easy going and non offensive, easy drinking stuff and i usually hate ice beers.

Can. Smells gnarly, tastes gnarlier. Just offensive. Usually people insult this type of beer by saying it tastes like water, but this beer tastes much worse than water. I’d drink it at NASCAR, that’s about it.

Can. Continue to slum it. Another terrible beer. Color, pale gold. Some head. Very watery in taste but slightly more than Busch. Aroma, straw, hay. Not good.

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
A steady pour into my oversized Tripel Karmeliet tulip produces a soapy, two-fingered head. Low retention with soap scum styled lacing along the sides as it fizzles out over a 1 minute period. The beer is a clear, deeper golden color with hefty nucleation points unlike the other macros I’ve tried lately for the ratebeer scavenger hunt season 3. The nose smells fruity with yellow apple at first blush. Specific aromas of white crystalline sugar, baked apple, doughy sweet roll, and perfumed hotel bar soap. The wife thought it leant towards corn as well along with spent grain.
Much more undergraduate college in taste than the soft, fairly nice aroma suggested; this has a bracing cornmeal, sulfur, and sickly sweet character that I was hoping would be remedied by the sub zero ice brewing process. There is some effervescence that allows it to pass for poor college kid swill over some terribly offensive. It has that unfortunately persistent "beer" taste that non beer lovers complain about when dismissing the entire world of beer as being plebian versus wine or liquor. The finish is longer than I’d like with sulfur, rotting egg, sweeter adjunct cornmeal, and some papery tannic apple skin. A soft butteriness gives this a heavy body that makes it hard to down even with such a normal abv and lack of harsh brewing flaws.
This is a pretty disappointing pale lager that I thought I was missing out on given the proprietary sub zero brew method, but the end result is painfully identical to Natural or Busch Light in profile. Only the aroma comes across as half way decent. But the sulfur character is unacceptable. I can only imagine it is marketed to be consumed also at sub zero temperatures so that this rotting egg flavor is all but gone. I’m also disappointed that Icehouse counts as a pale lager tick, as it has all of the marketing to place it squarely in the malt liquor segment. Ironically, I thought Icehouse Edge, the malt liquor version, was more enjoyable.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
This is one of the better brews commonly available in the 40 oz. bottle. There is a slight off flavor common to the ’Plank Road’ beers, but overall it is smooth with adequate body and balance. Not too gassy with plenty of alcohol for the style.
