1.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 pkbites (478) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 15, 2004
$2.79 for 4 pack of pint (16 ouncers) cans, 01-15-04, Milwaukee.
I'm drinking one right now. Has one MAJOR plus: it doesn't have that funny background taste that many ice beers have. I can't describe that "taste", but some of you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, this beer doesn't have it, which helps it out, because otherwise it's pretty pathetic. No aroma, none. Pale, corn water color, thin head, watery flavor. It's slightly less powerful than most ice brewed beers, which may explaine why it doesn't have that funny alcohol background taste that most ice beers have.
All in all, compared to other ice beers this gets a B+. Compared to all beers in general, it gets a D.

Actually has a pretty decent golden color. Better than most American lagers. The head is worse than average, though. Fades before you can even get your first sip. I kinda like the aroma--sweet, strangely floral. That sweetness really gets to me when I taste it though. Tastes like they put some extra sugar in the mix to up the alcohol which you can taste as well. Odd, bittersweet aftertaste that leaves a burning feeling in your throat.
I Used to drink this out of kegs all the time but I actually rated a tallboy I bought at a convenience store. It’s drinkable if you keep it ice cold or if you’ve already drank 10 of them.

Not that great of a doemstic beer. A little too much bite and carbonation. Tastes alot like Keystone Ice. One of the better cheap ice brews.

Not a whole lot going on here. A slight grade above the standard American beers, but not by much.

Thin, white head which reduces very quickly. Light carbonation. light aroma of hops, and a bit of biscuit. Color is a medium gold. Flavor is crisp and a little bitter. More biscuit and bread. Bit of hops. Finish is slightly dry. Could be worse.

The summer of pale continues. It was hot today, heat at work 87 degrees (broken ac), I was grilling (need beer for that) and so here I am rating Icehouse. Decent honey aroma. Sweet palate that is not offensive. Mine had a metallic aftertaste that was unpleasant.
