UPDATED: APR 12, 2003 I really enjoyed the 24oz Ice House tall boy I bought at the gas station for 99 cents. Think of this as "an alternative to malt liquor" and you won't go wrong. Needless to say, don't drink this if it's not ice cold, or you'll be sorry. And for the love of god, don't even think of pouring this out of the bottle or can.

Light aroma; mostly green apple. More of the green apple in flavor, with sweet flavor, getting even more sugary sweet in aftertaste. With really no other malt flavors and not much bitterness, the sweetness gets more fatiguing the more I drink.

Pour from a 24 oz can. Pale yellow brew, darker than many light brews, with a fizzy white head that passes. Faint aroma of spoiled grain. Taste is bland - not much of anything here. A little sweet at the start, a little dry at the end, then again with a little sweet and finally a lingering vegetal aftertaste. All most muted. Plain, banal, not bad but not good either.

Darker than the typical pale lager but with maybe even a little more trashy, metallic & wet grain taste & aroma. Even when I was underage and into cheap beer I remember this being pretty bad.

Poured with love into my Trappist glass. Aroma of wet cardboard, overly sweet malts, hand candy... I’d believe you if you told me this was malt liquor; maybe a hint of grass. Appearance is gold with slightly sticky yellow head. Flavor is sweet and fruity up front with a slightly grassy, abrupt finish. Palate is light, creamy and soft. Drinkable.

It’s a bright deeply yellow with a short-lived white head. Smells of tin, caraway seeds, LME, spent grain and lager yeast. Tastes refreshingly light with notes of chamomile, yeast and pear skins. Kind of soapy by finish. Not terrible.

Bottles. Good college beer: cheap but slightly more interesting than bud and miller.

Had this on tap, yellow in color and decent head with alright lacing. Smells like stomach acid and tastes like dull corn.

Can. Golden, small and fully diminishing head. Very light, malty and sweetish aroma, light alcohol. Body is light, malty – some corn and sweetish flavor, light alcohol. Finish is very short, malty – some corn and lightly sweetish, light metal and light alcohol. Water + alcohol = Icehouse.
