First Beer! Well fermented with Sake yeast at least. Being fermented with Sake yeast this ale has slight fruity notes, soft balance of malts and nicely blooming Cascade hop profile.
There is also a soft warmness from the slightly high ABV on this gal.

2 x pint at Thompsons Brewpub in Salem.
$4 er pint.
This is an experimental beer by Jen ( the brewer)
Beer is a bright, slightly hazy amber with a small off white head.
Nice but strange ( in a good way) aromas..spicy, slightly phenolic and fruity.
Taste is much the same as the aroma, spicy, dry with some almost Belgian/Bavarian aspects to the Sake yeast. It is well balanced by nice caramel maltiness.
Nice and smooth warming on the palate.
Very drinkable if slightly off kilter brew.
Wasn’t sure what category that this one fitted in.
