sinte (171) - udine, ITALY - SEP 29, 2010
Bottle 0.33L. Pale yellow body with a small, frothy, white head, mostly diminishing with a fair lacing. Moderate hoppy aroma with faint notes of malt. Bitter flavour with some faint sweet malty note; short bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture; lively carbonation; light metallic feeling in the finish. Just a standard lager. Not among the best ones.

[bottle] Weak aroma of grain and slight hay. Anemic straw appearance and clear, with a thin, white cover. Weak grainy flavour that is refreshing, but very unremarkable. Not offensive. Light body, medium carbonation.

Claims to be local Sardinian, but it’s not. Pours a light gold with a big white foamy head, a bit of hop on the nose, clean enough taste with some malt body and some herby hop aftertaste. An OK summer lager - not at all unpleasant, but pretty boring.

Jeez from the ratings & scores I thought this was going to be a shocker but itsnot, its just just dull, dull, dull. I have tried some appalling beers, unbalanced undrinkable, especially in the bottled british ale category & some dreadful metallic lagers which would get more of a caning than this but I certainly wouldn’t bother drinking this unless its very cold, the day is very hot & there’s nothing else. Aroma is very bland, slight bready & slight vegetal but so lacklustre as not to be offensive. Palate is OK, its not great but not super thin, flavour is very light but again there’s nothing offensive in the palate or the finish. Boring but not revolting

It’s golden with a creamy head and a very unappealing aroma of cabbage and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness and the same notes as the aroma, well boring does not really cover the flavour, but I’ll leave it there...
