| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Pours a dark brown with redu hue, light on the aroma, but some of the oak and sourness comes thru. Very smooth palate and taste, sourness in the front, oak flatness in the finish. Halfway thru the drink the complexity is hidden, and it becomes a light drinking beer. The first half is complex and very enjoyable, the last half your palate is accustomed and the drink smooths out and the complexity is lost, but still good. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 8, 2008 This is a cross between a sour red ale and a kriek. The flavor has a slighly sour fruity cherry flavor with a hint of smokiness. Extremely well rounded balanced beer that has a exceptional delicate vinous aroma and taste. The wine like character and deep reddish brown color could trick an amateur into thinking that this is a poorman’s wine concoction.
This has all the chrarcteristics I enjoy in a beer and believe it would go great with and red meat entree. thornecb (1757), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2008 Pours amber into an Oerbier tulip. Fluffy off-white head pancakes as is slowly recedes to coat surface and eventually hug rim. Cherry and tobacco aromas. Sharp sour plums upfront turning oaky through the lasting tart tobacco finish. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 27, 2008 A very drinkable beer with smoothness, nice easy oakness, but also challenging with sourness and acid over average. Adenila (937), Denmark

The one we had said oakaged, so it might be a different one.
Clear dark brown with a baige head. Caramelized suger and sour ale aroma with a medium tart flavor backed up by eartheren notes. Was overall mild and very enjoyable.
