| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 9, 2009 On tap @ The Trappist. Dark copper brown with a two finger beige head, fair retention. Light vinegar, tart cherries, and old barrels up front. Saltines and sweet caramel behind. Flavor is still salty, but not really all that sour--I also wouldn’t call it bland by any means, but the flavor does seem muted. The cherries only show up in the finish, and the caramel turns more earthy. Finish is saltines with bitterness @ a 2, sourness @ a 2-3. Light carbonation with a light to medium body. Earth, caramel, sour cherry, slight metal in the aroma. Taste: a bit sweet for a flemish red, caramel, some light sour cherry, light balsamic vinegar, and some metallic notes....

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Pours dull, murky brownn with a thin tan head. Aroma of sour cherries and grpes, and a subtle oakiness. Subdued flavor of red wine vinegar and sour grapes. Light sourness, the oak shows up mostly in the finish, which fades quickly. Decent body, lightly carbonated. (11.2 oz. bottle) 1FastSTi (2557), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2009 What an average beer. This one poured to a really hazy brown body with a thin white head and spotty lacing. The aroma is weird. Buttered wood and pale malt. The flavor is very lightly sour with some brown malts but no nuttiness. Aged oak. Subtle. The palate is medium bodied. Boring! madvike (314), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2009 On tap at the Malt House - Sexy mahogany pour with a small head. Smells acidic, with a vinegar and lactic character, with pretty aggressive cherries and dark fruit. Taste starts out woody, flows into a dry, fruity cherry taste, some acidic goodness, and finishes with more oak. The body is light-medium with a little too much harsh carbonation. A solid sour...I liked this one. 17thfloor (1457), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2009 Bottle shared with funkybrewster. Pours a dark reddish amber with a fine fizzy beige head. Aroma is moldy cherry yogurt, touch of vinegar and berries. First taste is a nice woodiness, some cherry yogurt, fairly dry, lactic acid is not harsh at all, just moderately sour. Medium mouthful with a softer sizzling carbonation. Kodos (200), USA
