dmtroyer (431) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2008
Pours deep, deep amber with a light brown head. Mostly cherry, grape, and some red currant in the nose. Moderately complex body with more cherry, grape, rhubarb, toffee, dirt and vinegar. Mouthfeel is kind of flabby with a fairly full body and little to no carbonation. Decent, but nothing like some of the spectacular sour ale efforts out there.

TURDFERGUSON (3954) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 29, 2008
Bottle from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours a black cherry soda color with a creamy and layered thin head. Nose has some definite grape, and a much more mild cherry characteristic. Vinous mouthfeel, with flavors of cherry (much stronger than the nose), grapes, wood, and a mild vinegar kick in the finish. Becomes much harder to drink as it gets warm. kinda tastes like a bubbly red wine aged in oak with half the alcohol.

Bottle. High fluffy but lasting off-white head. Beautiful clear red brown body. Weak grape fruit aroma. Sweet and week grape fruit flavor but without the expected vinegar touch. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

GilBier (75) - Dendermonde, BELGIUM - JUN 16, 2008
Chesnut color, Farmhouse aroma, wood, malts, wine and balsamico. Smooth taste with a nice honeyed maltyness and a fine accent of winelike souryness. Nice carbonation, tastefull and easy drinking.

fiulijn (14609) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 14, 2008
Beautiful brown color with red beams. The aroma is a bit woody and cheesy, original. The flavor is of an ordinary Amber Ale, with a touch of wood and very light sourness, but without the sugar and body that I like in my beer. The final is therefore week.

thegreenrooster (3215) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 13, 2008
Pour is a brown with a small white head. Aroma is some tart fruit and a red wine/vinegar. Lots of oak comes off this brew. Flavor is just as good. Over the top oak with some bitter fruit and silky smooth malts. Like drinking velvet! A nice sour ale that is not that sour so you really get some of the complex flavors that some others hide under the sourness.

Pours a ruby red with a small white head. Nose of tart fruit, cherry, and yeast. Taste is sweet, tart, and fruit. Some malt and wood as well. Mouth is prett well carbonated. Overall, a nice beer that’s not as sour as some other sours.

Botella. Clear deep amber-red colour with a short fizzy head. Nice woody dark fruity sour aroma. Good soft mouthfeel. The flavour has a pleasant roastiness with dark fruits, good soft sourness, some cherry and wood. Dry bitter fruity finish with a sour touch.

Bottle @ Plan B., Cph.
Pours deep brown with slight red edges. A big, creamy, off-white/beige head. Aroma is sweet, lightly roasted malts, some toffee, good woodiness and light tartness. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is lovely softly tart, good caramel, some light chocolate and roasted malts. Lots of dry, tart wood in the aftertaste - very dry.
