On Tap. Deep cherry with a large long lasting head. Tart fruit sweet malt with a hint of wood in the nose. A nice balance of sweet and sour fruit with an acidic undertone. Finishes slightly sour. A good intro to the style

Kolejne piwo od Hopestera! I kolejne niezapomniane doznania! Ciemnoczerwony kolor, z niewielką pianą o różowym zabarwieniu. Aromat kwaśnych owoców, najbardziej chyba wiśni i porzeczek. W smaku nieco owocowej słodyczy, potem kwaśność i nieco winnej wytrawności. Trudno opisać złożoność smaku, jaki to piwo oferuje... Bardzo delikatnie wysycone. Trzeba wypić, żeby zrozumieć ;)

Caoba, dos dedos de espuma ligeramente tintada. Aroma a mi no tinto, ligeramente agrio. Notas de caramelo. en boca, carbonatación notable y cuerpo flojo. El sabor mantiene lo que anticipaba en el aroma con una base malteada dulce y un tono agrio general, tolerable. Para amantes del estilo, que no es mi caso. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle, 2011 edition. Hazy brownred body with a low dirt-white head. Vinegar, fruity notes and some spices that remind me of swedish "julmust".

Bottle from Brewers Haven. This my kind of sour, not overly puckering, perhaps tempered by the barrel aging. Some mellow wooden notes are added as a result. A murky ruby brown pour, soft tightly beaded head, acetic plum aroma. Taste is initially tart, mellowing quickly to a dry, sweet finish. Excellent all around.

This beer pours brownish red with full head. A flavor of sour apple and cherry bland with earthy flavor to make a ry good sour beer.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Poured into a chalice. Pours a clear dark ruby with a modest tan head that lingers before dissipating. Big aromas of cherry, apple and yeast with a bit of barnyard funk. Taste is very sour cherry forward with some apple and currant on the finish. The beer itself is not really sour per sea but it does have a light tartness that cuts into the overall sweet palate. It is reminiscent of a less sour version of Duchesse de Bourgogne. Full body with nice carbonation and a slightly sticky cola-like mouthfeel. Nice lingering finish that coats the palate. This is were the tartness stands out...especially as it warms up.
