Aroma is fruity with notes of berries and grapefruit, but with darkfruit such as raisins as well(?). Very thin mouthfeeling. Flavours like cherry and wood are to find in this sour, but it isn’t that sour i think. wickedpete (629), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA

Aroma is a very nice sweet red fruit and a bit of tartness. Lightly sweet cherry flavor, candy sugar body, cream in the middle, faint hint of oak in the finish and a slight tartness. Nice creamy body. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden

Strong vinous nose with notes of strawberries, cherries, toffee & wood. Thin vinous taste with slightly sour tones of red berries. Interesting (at small volumes...). joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 27, 2007 Updated: Mar 8, 2008Pours a reddish brown with a nice tan head. Nice brown sugar, cinnamon, sour apple, and an earthy funk. Highly carbonated and kinda watery, but good sour apple bite as well as a nice oaky acidity. Not too shabby, but a little astringent. craftycarl21 (601), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Pours a molassed colored pour with a head that looks like a root beer float. Aroma holds cherry, raspberry, caramel, grape, prune, and a bit of wood. Flavor is much more tart than the aroma would portray; good acidic fruit notes, some more dark sugar, and the grape and wine is still clearly evident. Palate is pretty solid on the whole; tartness is nice but not overpowering, and the finish is somewhat slick on the tongue. Really not a bad sour ale, just has some tough competition in the genre. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Pours a deep crimson with an airy beige head. The nose does not suggest any sourness, only sweet red fruits and light malts. The flavour is initially sweet pear, plum and other red fruits (possibly candied), fading into some corn syrupy malts, and very mild tartness. The finish is short-lived and artificially fruity and toffee-like, maybe caramel. The carbonation is a bit on the soft side, but the texture is silken and rather nice, despite the watery finish. auderale (572), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2006 Draft. Slight dark pour with a decent sized head. This had a smoked wood aroma to it with the same taste. I would like to try this again, but it was pretty good. BustedFlat (554), Edina, Minnesota, USA
