3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A solid old brown but not particularly exciting. Quite mild in the sour stakes although very true to style. Red fruits show a touch of old wood and a hint of bitterness. Not much else to say.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
25cl Bottle. Clear reddish brown pour with a foamy tan head that doesn’t last long. Aroma is quite light, with a hint of sourness and notes of wood, cherries, molasses and apple. Flavour is also quite woody, a little metallic and slightly medicinal; cherries and wood being the standout flavours. Slick mouthfeel with fairly low carbonation and a lingering medicinal finish. Not overly sour, this actually doesn’t taste too good at all. Their Grand Cru is much better.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2010 Bottle. $4.99 for a 11.2oz bottle. No date I could find on the bottle but the cap says 29-09-2014 which I am guessing is the best by date. Poured a fairly dark reddish brown with an offwhite 2 finger head that quickly dissipates down to about a 1/4 of an inch and then just flat out disappears. The aroma is not sour at all. The nose is actually pretty bad, not bad smelling, but there really isn’t a whole lot there. Oh dear god, this is not very good. It has a subtle bitter taste that is off putting. Subtle fruit taste. Not sour really at all (did I say that already?) Can’t imagine really finishing this one. Slight alcohol flavor at the end. Light/medium mouthfeel. I would avoid this one, especially at the price.
Tried again and same results as above.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Poured a dark red/amber with a gray film head. Aroma was quite sweet with candied sugar sweet berries and a bit of an underlying tart note. Flavor had a combination candied sugar and tart cherries that seemed somewhat off.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 25 cl. Brown-reddish beer with small white head that disappears rather quickly. Aroma is sweet, light fruity and oaky, some sourness noticeable. Taste is sweet at first, comebined with a refreshing sourness around it and also the typcal light fruity and oak taste of an "Oud Bruin". Pallet stays however only at the basics, with being exceptional.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by Marcus. Hazy brown pour with small chunks. Mild dark fruit aroma with a suggestion of sour. Flavor is a bit like fruity cola. Finishes lightly sweet with the hope of sour (never fulfilled).

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours dark brown with lots of dark floaties and a thin disappearing beige head. There is a moderately frangrant smoked malt aroma. It’s too sweet for an oud bruin, but there is a substantial dark malt presence.
