On tap at Manito. Pours opaque black with beige foam. Tastes exactly like German chocolate cake, with strong chocolate and coconut notes. Aroma is the same. Really tasty.

On tap seasonal in the brewery in Leavenworth. Wow! Smells like German Chocolate Cake and then you taste... and it’s like your having dessert. Smooth finish. Beautiful dark stout with little head in the glass.

Bottle picked up in Ephrata, WA. Enjoying after a long day of travel in a hotel. Really hits the spot. Expecting a CDA, so the chocolaty sweetness was a nice surprise. Black body with instant beige foamy head, fades to nothing. Sweet chocolate aroma, taste also. Slick medium wright, just delicious through and through.

Bomber. Pours a dark brown color with a medium white head. A big sweet vanilla and chocolate nose. The flavor is big chocolate, toast, vanilla, brown sugar. Solid.

Tap at the brewpub. A: Pitch black in color, creme color head, light lacing. N: Coconut, chocolate, some vanilla, and a host of cake batter. T: Big sweetness, no bitterness. Not cloying, fortunately. M: Medium body, soft carbonation, no alcohol. O: I wish this was more complex, but I get that if it were, it wouldn’t be a dead ringer for German Chocolate Cake. I can dig it, even if I really don’t want more.

Wat een lekkere kruidenbier. Toch wel het beste bier dat ik gedronken heb van de brouwerij.

Draft - Lots of coconuts and chocolate, think Bounty Bar. Jet black with a thin white head. As it smells, really nice.

On tap at icicle pub Leavenworth. Pours out dark brown almost black with some ruby highlights topped with a tan head. Nose is almond joy or in this case I guess German chocolate cake. Tons of coconut milk chocolate vanilla and a nice sweetness. Taste is like the nose tons of coconut milk chocolate vanilla. Wow for sure this is a German chocolate cake. Very well done.

Black color. Aroma of chocolate and coconut. The flavor is dominated by the chocolate and coconut, rich but not sweet, with bold bitterness; roasted nuts in the final.
Another very clean and interesting beer from Icicle.

2015-01-03, draught at Happy’s Market, Ellensburg, WA, 7-4-7-4-15=37
The color is almost black. A lot of real chocolate, but in beer it tends to get a cheap turn, moderately sweet, smooth.
Very good.
