3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at the brewery
Clean dark amber color. The aroma is too mild, but the flavor is very nice, with a balance of malt and caramel, and a touch of biscuits; bold bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 22oz. A clear, amber colored beer with a finger-thick light beige head. Caramel, bread and some fruity hints in the aroma, nice, but a bit too straight forward. That goes for the flavor too, where there’s a fine bitterness in addition to the caramel, bread and light tropical fruity hoppiness found tin the aroma. Medium to full body and a nice carbonation level. A bit short finish. Hoped for this to be an amber ale, but it’s quite nice anyway. 140531

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma: malt forward of toasty biscuits and dark bread (Munich malty if you are familiar) with a nice dark fruit ester following.
Appearance: deep red with a light beige creamy head that disipates quickly. Little lacing and fine legs.
Flavor: malt forward and similar to aroma. Faint spicy floral hops in the background with a subtle bitterness. Clean lager esters behind it all. Slight alcohol.
Mouthfeel: medium full body, creamy, well carbonated, finishes clean crisp and medium dry with the maltiness lingering
Overall: quite drinkable in quantity. A nice northwest version of a viena lager or dark oktoberfest. If you are looking for a quality craft beer that is different than the ubiquitous ipa, give this a try.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Soft semi-sweet example, a little mealy and bready.   Low hop, some biscuit on the backside.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Make that no hop.   Its all malt, bready, slightly grainy, with some biscuit notes on the backside.   Tiz okay, but its a bit on dimensional.   Could use some more hops that’s for sure.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head that disappears quickly. Nose is very malt forward, with a lot of toasting and breadiness coming through to me. Taste is also quite malty, but balanced well enough to present as neither sweet nor bitter. Finishes with a lot of bread for me. Easy and smooth drink, just not my style.

Somewhat sweet caramel and toasted malts light nuttyness. Pours dark amber thin head. Flavors of caramel toast light apple and earth. Finishes more or less crisp. My least favorite of their beers.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a slightly hazy dark amber color with a medium thick and fluffy white head that recedes slowly. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet malt and a touch of hops. Light-bodied with a caramel malt character and notes of hops and yeast. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
