COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lagers are bottom-fermented at lower temperatures than ales, resulting in clear, bright beers. IBC’s Black Lager features rich coffee flavors with a smooth, long finish. It’s dark in color but a light bodied beer, and is brewed with Tettnang Hops, a noble hop commonly used in European lagers. Roast German barley, partially de-husked to reduce tannins, is combined with Caramunich malt for added body. Pairs well with seafood and hot, spicy foods.

On tap at the Barley Bros Brew Fest, Meridian ID. Deep clear amber with a modest light fan head. Not exactly "black" . Aroma is "amber" Flavor is a little "black". Some dark roared notes here but not quite up to what I expect a black lager to be. Clean and smooth...

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of caramel, fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, metal, caramel, and a bit of fruit, leading to a dry finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.
