25.03.13(Flasche): dunkel-bernsteinfarben. Kaum Schaum, wenig trüb. Metalisch, hopfig-frisch. Der Geschmack ist recht leer. Es ist zwar vollmundig, aber nicht sehr malzig. Zusammen mit mäßigem Co2 wirkt es recht leer. Im Abgang angenehm bitter. Ich finde kaum was vom Spießbraten, jediglich ein wenig Rauch.. Schade.

Bottle shared with McTaps. Just an average Kellerbier but with some nice quafness and malt in the front. Drinkable, nothing spectacular.

Bottle. Light unpale brownish colour with steady head and medium body. Taste of nuts, roast, caramel, malt and torf. Easy to drink but just too average.

Flip-top half-litre bottle poured into my Wolnzacher Brauhaus tall glass tankard on 6th Jan 2013 @ home. Please note this is the SUDMEISTER labelled version of the Spießbraten Bier.
Good amber body, bright and clean: on top a huge foaming head.
Strange smell and taste at first: a stale malty bread and young yeast feel to both aroma and mouth flavours. Would the beer go well with some Spießbraten? I guess so, but I didn’t detect any smokey or grilled meat notes in anything. The beer grew on me as it warmed in the glass, becoming more flavoursome, herb and fruit notes began to push through the initial stale bread and yeastiness giving the beer a new and more interesting complexity. Body wise it was fine and it carried the alcohol along well.

Minimal hefiges Aroma, in der Farbe wie Eistee mit Schaum. Dünner, fast wässriger Antrunk. Im Geschmack wird es wiederum leicht hefig, etwas brotig-malzig, aber auch mit einem absolut dünnen Mittelpart. Bittert leicht nach. Der dazu zu kredenzende Spießbraten muss offensichtlich schon für die nötige Würze sorgen, denn dieses 08/15 Kellerbier ist absolut belanglos.

500ml swing-top bottle from Wasana’s, Idar-Oberstein
Pours strong golden yellow, sublte cloudy, with flat head. Smells very bready and grainy, slight yeasty, with a light fruity note. Starts with lots of fruity yeast and some grain, paired with a bready flavor. Middle part is yeasty-fruity, paired with stong bready notes and some hop aroma. Goes into a bready-yeasty finish with some rotten fruit, hay and some aroma hops!

The head is ok, the body beautiful brown with a bit red-orange. It smells malty, a bit alcoholic-gasy, fruity: raisin-sweet. The taste is fruity a bit plum, a bit malty. Refreshing and nice! 11/11/11/10/12/11

Swing-top by 26.11.12. Dusty sweet nose, a little malt and corn. Deep golden-amber body with a large, large tan head. Sweet taste, very low bitterness by the end after going through some rye bread and butter/butterscotch, just drowning in a malt slick. Light body, faintly spicy with a little booze warmth, interesting for the cheapness and diacetyl.
