Lukaduke (1992) - Portland, Maine, USA - JUL 27, 2013
Pours a golden color with a big foamy white head. The aromas are a bit strange with sweet toffee, caramel, medicinal undertones... pretty volatile. The palate follows with some undesirable boozy medicinal notes mingling with the more true to style belgian candi, caramel, bourbon booziness. Mouthfeel is fizzy and well dialed in just can;t get over some of the "off" flavors Im detecting.

Bottle shared by Chad. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a thick white head lasting awhile leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is funk yeast and floral. Medium mouthfeel with raisin malt and booze with light dry finish. A good tripel from Idle Hands.

Pours gold into a tulip. White head with good retention recedes leaving trailing lacing. Caramel and bourbon aromas. Sharp with sweet oak and caramel upfront turning to a lasting woody bourbon burn finish.

Corked-and-caged bottle from Kappy’s in Falmouth. #3 in series. Pours out a deep golden-orange color with a big frothy white head. Aroma of apples and oak. Flavor is incredible. Lots of pear, apple and banana notes from the yeast. Oak is kept in check. Some pepper. Very easy drinking and enjoyable. Drinks almost like a well-made saison, but with a bit more body. Oak ageing adds a unique twist.
