3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Backlogged rating: Copper reddish hue with a small frothy head, good lace. The aroma has notes of rye bread, resiny and light citrus hop esters, grassy, slight toast and some pepper. The taste is twangy and biting with good rye versus hop character. Bready and biscuity with a caramel background. The mouth feel is sharp and lively, crisp for the style. Pretty damn good brew.

Pours a vivid amber with sultry orange highlights and a decent sized khaki head. Nose involves some earthy hop notes, sweet grain, light rye spice, a hint of citrus, and some herbal and almost minty notes. Taste is fairly bitter with a touch of sweetness. Palate is creamy, rich and full, vibrant, with some toasted notes. Nice brew, mellow at first but as you let it warm up a bit more of the character comes out.
